Fall
Is there a better season than Fall? I don’t think so. Sure, every season has something to offer, but I still think Fall takes the cake. There’s just so much to love. Crisp, clean air, colorful foliage, homemade stew, warm baked goods, intense sunrises and sunsets, that early hint of holiday cheer, blanketed movie nights, reading by the fire, thick socks, board games, flannel sheets, crunchy leaves on the sidewalk—I could go on and on.
I only wish that Fall lasted longer. Some summers feel like they never end, some winters feel the same, but I’ve never felt that way about Fall—it’s always gone too soon. And I suppose that’s the lesson—just as healthy leaves eventually wither and fall, nothing in life lasts forever, so we had better enjoy them while we can. And if we are fortunate enough to see them return, we should celebrate like crazy. Again and again.
What season do you enjoy the most?
"Autumn, the year’s last, loveliest smile."
-William Cullen Bryant
